Seven-year veteran defensive tackle B.J. Hill has signed a new contract with the Cincinnati Bengals. Hill, a former third-round pick, spent the 2024 season with the Cincinnati Bengals but also played for the New York Giants.
BJ Hill back to the Bengals for 3-years, $33M per Schefty.
He deserves it and this does not preclude them from getting deals done with Chase & Higgins done but I can only imagine the reaction of Bengals fans when these non-WR extensions get reported.

B.J. Hill, Cincinnati Bengals, Agree to Contract
The Cincinnati Bengals had one of the league’s worst defenses last year, but B.J. Hill was one of the few players who carried his weight. Starting and appearing in 15 games, the 29-year-old finished the season with three sacks, 56 tackles, seven tackles-for-loss, nine quarterback hits, and a 70.2 PFF grade, the 24th-best mark in the league. Despite his strong play, Cincinnati narrowly missed the playoffs and finished the season with a 9-8 record.
B.J. Hill originally entered the league as a third-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Selected by the New York Giants, the North Carolina State product immediately played a major role on the defense. Appearing in all 16 games while making 12 starts, Hill finished his inaugural season with 5.5 sacks, 48 tackles, six tackles-f0r-loss, and eight quarterback hits. Unfortunately, he couldn’t maintain this production, as his playing time decreased in 2019 and 2020. Following the 2020 campaign, the Giants traded Hill to the Cincinnati Bengals for first-round bust Billy Price.
This move paid dividends for the Bengals, as Hill became a key part of the defense. During his first year with the team, the defensive tackle recorded 5.5 sacks, 50 tackles, six tackles-for-loss, and 12 quarterback hits while helping the team go on a deep playoff run. The Bengals won the AFC but narrowly lost the Super Bowl to Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams.
B.J. Hill parlayed his successful season with the Bengals into a three-year contract extension. This proved to be a wise investment for both sides, as Hill earned a starting role and remained a consistent part of the Cincinnati Bengals pass rush. Since entering the league, the North Carolina State product has recorded 23.5 sacks in 112 games (67 starts).
