Looking at modern times especially, it’s all about Brian Simmons. A first-round pick by the Bengals in 1998, Simmons spent nine seasons as an enforcer in the heart of the defense, racking up nearly 750 tackles with 24 sacks and 11 interceptions, as well as being a member of the 40th Anniversary Team.
