It has to get fixed.
Despite the Cincinnati Bengals offense giving its best effort in recent weeks, the team is 1-4. They are now looking to climb out of what center Ted Karras called “football hell ” and find answers.
After holding the Baltimore Ravens to just 61 rushing yards through three quarters in Week 5, the defense fell apart in the 4th quarter and overtime, surrendering 114 rushing yards in that span.
When speaking to the media Wednesday, Bengals cornerback Mike Hilton told ESPN’s Ben Baby that the defense has been playing “like s*** for real.”

Hilton told Baby that the team had a “rare, but needed” players-only meeting, emphasizing that players need to do their jobs and focus on their individual assignments, and the hope is that leads to potential turnovers and getting the defense off the field.
The Bengals have a favorable schedule in the four games before the rematch with Baltimore. The New York Giants, Cleveland Browns, Philadelphia Eagles and Las Vegas Raiders all have had their offensive struggles this season. If the Bengals defense is going to get back on track, the next month could be the perfect time.
