Pain.
Another week, another painful defeat for the Cincinnati Bengals, this one coming to the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North opener for both squads.
Some snap count trends continued, like Erick All getting the most reps of any tight end. However, others reverted, like Chase Brown’s snap share falling back to 33%. Maema Njongmeta also saw his first action on defense, albeit only a few snaps.
Unfortunately, what stands out the most from the snap counts is the players who say a large increase in action due to injury. With Mike Hilton inactive due to injury and Dax Hill falling to a presumed ACL during it, Jalen Davis played 33 snaps on defense. Cody Ford took 26 snaps in relief of Amarius Mims, who suffered an ankle injury during the game but eventually returned.
Fresh off of IR, Myles Murphy took 34 snaps, and McKinnley Jackson played nine in his NFL debut.
