Bengals running back Joe Mixon isn’t buying the rumors that he’s on his way out of Cincinnati.
Responding to a report that the team is expected to move on from him this offseason, the former Pro Bowl rusher fired back: “Lmao y’all said this last year too … That’s [clown] behavior.”
The post, which racked up nearly 7,000 likes, began to go viral on Twitter.
“Yeah that’s because the pats what’s ready yet but this year we is. #cometothepatroits,” Matthew Judon replied.
“Mixon and Brown Show incoming with Burrow back under center !” a user exclaimed.
“You know Tampa is nice… just in case. :)” a Bucs fan smiled.
“For all the doubters…Mixon has spoken!”
“We aint letting go of one of the premier all purpose backs in the nfl,” another person laughed.
Mixon is coming off his fourth 1,000-yard season in seven years. The former Oklahoma Sooner appeared in all 17 games for the Bengals in 2023 and his nine touchdowns were first on the team among backs and receivers.
Cincinnati certainly has some decisions to make this offseason when it comes to some of its offensive weapons. We’ll see what the team ultimately decides w its 27-year-old RB.
