How to watch the Bengals host the Eagles for Week 8.
The Cincinnati Bengals have a chance to get back to .500 at home when the Philadelphia Eagles land at Paycor Stadium this Sunday.
The Bengals have won their last two games against the New York Giants and Cleveland Browns. Both teams were able to hold the offense relatively in check behind their dominant defensive lines.
It was Cincinnati’s defense that stepped up big in both of those wins as their own defensive line got healthy, especially with the return of BJ Hill and Sheldon Rankins. This isn’t the same defense that couldn’t get a single stop against the Washington Commanders.
The Eagles ironically also find themselves coming into this game on a two game win streak after defeating the Browns and Giants. Running back Saquon Barkley has been a fine fit for this offense as he averages just over six yards per carry. The offense also getting A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith back and healthy has turned this into a pick-your-poison situation.
Their defense has been impressive. They have the seventh-ranked scoring defense (19.2 points per game), but it is their red-zone defense allowed touchdowns only 38.89% of the time (second best in the NFL). They also get opposing offenses off the field, holding their opponents to a third-down conversion rate of 31.94%.
