The Bills shook up the NFL world on Wednesday with this morning’s Stefon Diggs trade.
After a turbulent past 15 months, Buffalo decided to deal the four-time Pro Bowler to Houston in exchange for draft pick compensation; giving Rookie of the Year C.J. Stroud a new weapon down in the AFC South. But what about the Bills?
According to folks on social media there’s one clear answer about who the team should target:
“The Bills are trading for Tee Higgins in T-minus 2 days,” a user said.
“tee higgins welcome to buffalo,” another replied.
“Tee Higgins you can take my house idc you take my family idc you can take everything just PLEASE come to Buffalo,” a fan begged.
“Bills need to be on the phone with Tee Higgins as soon as possible,” another person tweeted.
“(Tee Higgins to Buffalo feels like a thing that could happen now).”
Higgins has seen his name in trade rumors for two offseasons now as the Cincinnati Bengals try to figure out what offensive stars they can retain for franchise QB Joe Burrow.
The Clemson product posted back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons as Cincy’s second option in 2021 and 2022 but injuries kept him from making it a third this past year.
Head coach Zac Taylor has said that he doesn’t expect the Bengals to trade Higgins. Telling reporters this week: “We’re excited for Tee to have a great year for us. We think he’s our best chance to help us win a Super Bowl. I’ve enjoyed working with Tee the last four years, I expect this year to be no different.”
We’ll see.
