Former Pro Bowl cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones believes there’s something fishy about the officiating for Monday night’s national championship game between Michigan and Washington.
Washington had a chance to even things up in the fourth quarter, but an offensive holding call pretty much derailed the drive. On the very next possession, Michigan got away with holding en route to taking a 27-13 lead.
Jones wasted no time sharing his thoughts on the inconsistent officiating at NRG Stadium.
“Holding, this the worst referee game I’ve seen, (expletive) just tell me what’s really going on @NCAA,” Jones wrote on Twitter.
Judging by the replies to Jones’ post, he’s not the only person who feels this way about the officiating crew.
For what it’s worth, the referees for this game are from the ACC. We’re not entirely sure why they’d have any motive to give Michigan favorable calls.
Do you think the officiating was noticeably awful?
