Could a bigger Joe Burrow mean a healthier Joe Burrow in 2024? That’s what the QB is hoping.
According to the Bengals star, he’s been packing on weight this offseason with the idea that some added muscle could aid in him being more available for his team next season.
“I’m eating more, I’m more dialed as far as nutrition and food schedule and eating when I need to so that’s been a big area of emphasis for me and I’ve seen the results,” Burrow said, via Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com.
“We’re bigger. Definitely bigger. We’ll see where I’m at at the end of the offseason. I feel good about where my body is right now. I’m going to continue to get stronger and bigger throughout the offseason and just play it by ear, depending on how I feel,” the former No. 1 pick continued.
“Like I said, I’m in a good spot right now. I’m really strong, bigger than I was. We’re going to continue to eat right, lift and go through my routine and see where I’m at.”
Burrow has been limited to just 10 games in two of his four NFL seasons due to injury. And as great as he’s been, you have to wonder what more missed time would do to his career if he goes down again.
Last season, the Pro Bowl QB seemed to rush back from a calf injury and never seemed quite right. Hopefully this year we can get a Joe Burrow that’s 100% going into Week 1.
