Joe Burrow’s rehab for his torn wrist ligament continues to go as planned.
He suffered the injury on Nov. 16 of last year and had to miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery. He’s been taking it slow since the surgery and expects to be fully cleared in May.
“I think middle of May is when I am expecting to kind of be cleared for full contact and everything,” Burrow told ESPN’s Ben Baby. “Over the next month [to] month and a half, we’ll kind of decide all those things.”
He should be good to go for mandatory minicamp from June. 11-13. That will then lead to training camp at the end of July.
With him back healthy, the Bengals are expected to be a contender to win the AFC North and the Super Bowl. Burrow is one of the five best quarterbacks in the league and completely changes the complexity of the team.
He finished the 2023 season completing 66.8% of his passes for 2,309 yards, 15 touchdowns, and only six interceptions. The Bengals finished the 2023 season with a 9-8 record after Jake Browning took over.
