Joe Burrow is officially done for the season with a wrist injury he suffered against the Ravens a few weeks ago. Today there was a big update on his surgery.
According to Kelsey Conway of the Cincinnati Enquirer, Burrow underwent surgery on the scapholunate ligament in his right wrist. The surgery was performed by Pennsylvania-based surgeon Tom Graham.
“New details of #Bengals QB Joe Burrow’s wrist surgery have emerged Burrow underwent surgery to repair the scapholunate ligament in his right wrist. The surgery was done by world-renowned hand surgeon, Dr. Tom Graham in PA, sources tell me,” Conway wrote on X.
Conway added that the timeline for his return is “four to six months,” which means that he should be fully healed in time for the start of the 2024 season.
“Sources indicate the timeline for return from this injury is four to six months. This ligament is in the middle of the wrist between the scaphoid and lunate bones. It’s an important wrist stabilizing ligament,” Conway added.

Miraculously, the Cincinnati Bengals have been able to stay in the playoff hunt thanks to the surprisingly strong efforts of quarterback Jake Browning.
But Burrow is the Bengals’ franchise quarterback and it’s hard to imagine them coming close to the Super Bowl without him.
