The Bengals defense has cost the team numerous wins this season.
The Cincinnati Bengals are gearing up for a road trip to MetLife Stadium as the team is set to play the New York Giants on Sunday night.
The Bengals have been incredibly lopsided this season, with one of the best offenses in the league but also one of the worst defenses in the league.
The defense has struggled fundamentally by simply missing tackles and almost never forcing a punt.
The offense has been electric, because it seems they will need to put up 40 a game in order to win.
Joe Burrow and the offense posted 38 points, but that wasn’t enough, as the Bengals defense gave up a whopping 41 points.
The defense did show some grit against the Ravens this past weekend, with Sam Hubbard even forcing a safety.
After the game, Hubbard stated that he believes the Bengals defense is close to being very good…

“There’s so much good, but then there’s big plays we give away, where this technique-related issues, no lack of effort or playing hard because guys are playing their heart out,” Hubbard stated, “Guys are swarming to the ball, but we just gotta be more sound across the board as a defensive unit.”
The defense will have their hands full with Daniel Jones and the Giants offense but has the opportunity to continue getting healthy and improving each week.
