Sorry to rain on your parade, but the viral photo of Joe Burrow’s new hairstyle is not real.
On Monday, a photo of Burrow sporting a longer hairdo surfaced on social media. That sparked countless jokes about the starting quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals doing his best Anakin Skywalker impression.
A little over a week before this social media post went viral, Burrow shared a few photos of him practicing with his teammates. It’s pretty evident that he hasn’t changed his hairstyle.
The only real change Burrow made this offseason was adding a few more pounds to his frame.
“We’re bigger. Definitely bigger,” Burrow told reporters. “We’ll see where I’m at the end of the offseason. I feel good about where my body is right now … I’m eating more, I’m more dialed as far as nutrition and food schedule and eating when I need to so that’s been a big area of emphasis for me and I’ve seen the results.”
If Burrow stays healthy, the Bengals will be considered title contenders in the AFC.
Unfortunately, Burrow hasn’t been able to shake off the injury bug since entering the NFL in 2020.
The Bengals will begin the 2024 season on Sept. 8 against the Patriots.
