A battle between the NFC East elite will be taking place Thursday night.
The Philadelphia Eagles will get their first shot at rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders this season.
This will also be a huge game for the NFC East, as both teams currently have seven wins. The Eagles are 7-2, while the Commanders are 7-3, fresh off a loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
As an efficient passer and dynamic runner, Daniels has taken the league by storm. He has nine passing touchdowns to two interceptions while throwing for just over 2,100 yards and completing just under 69% of his passes. Add on 464 yards rushing and four more rushing touchdowns, and it’s easy to see why he is a front-runner for NFL Rookie of the Year.
The Eagles have been on a run. They started 2-2 but have won five straight since then, as they’ve really gotten back to running the ball well while allowing Jalen Hurts to pick apart defenses with some play-action or against heavy boxes.
FanDuel Sportsbook currently has Philadelphia as a 3.5-point favorite, with an over/under of 49.5 points.
