Amari Williams and Pau Gasol are the only two to record a stat line like Williams did on Wednesday night against Vanderbilt.
Kentucky Wildcats forward Amari Williams etched his name into the record books with a historic performance Tuesday night in an 82-61 win over the Vanderbilt Commodores.
In that game, Williams became the first Division I or NBA player to achieve a rare statistical feat since Pau Gasol did it for the Los Angeles Lakers on November 21, 2010.
Williams finished the game with 17 points (6/6 shooting), four blocks, a perfect field-goal percentage, a perfect free-throw percentage, and zero fouls — an incredibly efficient and dominant outing.
It also put Williams in a tie for the second-best perfect shooting game in Kentucky basketball history.

Amari Williams was perfect from the field (6-6) and the free throw line (5-5) vs. Vanderbilt. This puts him 2nd in a 8-way tie of UK players who shot perfect from the field & free throw line, by FGA. The most FGA was Rodney Dent who went 7-7 in 1993 vs. South Carolina. pic.twitter.com/0DgJY9I5mt

Williams’ impact on both ends of the floor was undeniable. Offensively, he was flawless, making every shot he took while converting at the free-throw line with ease. His efficiency and decision-making helped Kentucky maintain control throughout the game.
Meanwhile, on the defensive end, he showcased his shot-blocking ability, rejecting four attempts without committing a single foul.
The last time a player reached this level of statistical excellence was Pau Gasol nearly 14 years ago at the NBA level, reinforcing just how rare Williams’ performance was. The combination of offensive perfection and defensive dominance without fouling highlights his versatility and discipline on the court.
Williams’ breakout game comes at a crucial time for Kentucky as they continue their push in a competitive SEC race. His ability to protect the rim, finish efficiently, and stay disciplined will be key assets for the Wildcats moving forward. If he can continue delivering performances like this, he will not only solidify his role but also draw even more national attention.
For now, Williams can take pride in joining the elite company as Kentucky fans celebrate another standout moment in an already exciting season.
