Great news for the Kentucky center.
If you were worried that Mark Pope’s first official game as Kentucky Wildcats head coach wouldn’t have a full roster, you likely can breathe a sigh of relief.
Senior center Amari Williams is set to give it a go tonight against Wright State after leaving last week’s exhibition game against Minnesota State.
Williams is warming up with the team ahead of tonight’s 7 PM ET tip-off on ESPNU.

Williams left the win over Minnesota State after only around three minutes of game time had ticked off the clock, landing awkwardly and tweaking what looked to be his knee. Williams then returned to the sideline later in the game on the exercise bike, and in the postgame, Mark Pope said his x-rays looked good.
Williams is a game-changer on the defensive end as a three-time conference Defensive Player of the Year at Drexel.
On the offensive end, Williams is vital to what Mark Pope wants to run as one of the best interior passers in the country to help keep the offense moving.
There is no word quite yet on whether Williams will start, but regardless, having Williams return to the court is a massive win for Pope and Co.
