Kentucky and Alabama both have key players on the injury report.
The SEC injury report is out for the Kentucky Wildcats and Alabama Crimson Tide ahead of their Saturday matchup.
Alabama enters this game with several players banged up. Talented forward Derrion Reid missed Tuesday’s loss to Ole Miss with a lower-body injury. Reid is questionable to play on Saturday. He’s averaging 8.1 points and 3.4 rebounds per game in 15 appearances.
The Crimson Tide are already without guard Latrell Wrightsell Jr., who suffered a season-ending Achilles injury back in November. He was averaging 11.5 points per game in eight appearances this season.
Reserve guard Houston Mallette has also missed time due to a knee injury and is out for this one. He’s averaging 3.2 points in six appearances this season.
For the Wildcats, it was pretty much a given that forward Andrew Carr would be on the injury report, where he’s been the last two games due to a back injury while missing practice time.
For Saturday’s game against Alabama, Carr is considered probable to play.
The real news is starting point guard Lamont Butler is questionable to play. It’s not a big surprise after watching Butler get dinged on multiple occasions in Tuesday’s win over Texas A&M. He left the game briefly with a shoulder injury before eventually returning.
Kerr Kriisa remains out while recovering from foot surgery.
