One of the biggest trades in the NBA in a long time could see the former Cat head to Dallas.
In one of the biggest NBA trades in a long time, Kentucky Wildcats legend Anthony Davis is reportedly headed to the Dallas Mavericks.
ESPN’s Shams Charania shocked the basketball world with a report that the L.A. Lakers will be trading Anthony Davis to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Luka Doncic with several other pieces involved.

Some initially thought the report was fake, as Davis and Doncic are two of the top 10 —maybe even top five — players in the league. However, Shams followed up with a post stating that it was a real trade.
It’s a shocking move, to say the least. Davis has been with the Lakers since 2019 and Doncic has been the face of the Mavericks since being drafted.
There were reports that the Lakers were looking to make a big move, but it was always believed that L.A. wanted to add a piece to fit in with LeBron James and Davis.
Nonetheless, with this move, Davis will join a Dallas team currently sitting at 9th in the Western Conference that is also home to former Wildcat P.J. Washington.
