Everyone has a purpose in life, but not everyone finds it. Kash Daniel might’ve found his. Though the Big Blue Nation loved him as a football player at Kentucky, his true calling may be in professional wrestling. A two-time captain at linebacker for the Wildcats, Kash has the build and the personality for a long and successful career as a pro wrestler now that his football-playing days are behind him.

It’s been over five years since Kash hung up his cleats at Kentucky, where he played in 50 games over a four-year career through 2019. Recently, he picked up a new pair of cleats- or boots, if you will- to begin the career he seems destined to pursue: one in the squared circle.
“Born for this,” he captioned a social media reveal of his new passion as a pro wrestler in training. He tagged the great Al Snow and OVW in the video from a training session at OVW’s Historic Davis Arena.
Soon after the training video, Kash Daniel cut his first promo to promote OVW’s “Appalachian Armageddon” at Appalachian Wireless Arena later this month. In it, his pro-wrestler personality is on full display as he looks into the camera to say his purpose has never been clearer.
“A lot of people are probably wondering why, why did it take so long? We’ve waited three, four years for this. Sometimes, you’ve gotta go to the deepest, darkest corners of your mind, your own hell, to understand what your purpose is in this life… God put me on this Earth to lace up these boots and step into the ring.”
He’s a pro already. He could be a Monday Night Raw guy in due time. Until then, you can see him in Pikeville on April 25. Get tickets here.
That time Kash Daniel put Ryan Lemond through a table
KSR’s own Ryan Lemond knows firsthand what Kash Daniel can do as a wrestler. Before Kentucky hosted Florida in 2011, Kash put Ryan threw a table to end the KSR Pregame Show and to set the tone for the game.
