Five-star jumbo wing Caleb Wilson took an official visit to Kentucky this past weekend and it made a big impression on him and his family.
“Coach [Mark] Pope did a great job at defining Caleb’s role in the program,” Jerry Wilson, Caleb’s father, told ZAGSBLOG.
“I mean, just the thought of having the big, bold, and beautiful BBN behind him as he takes this huge step towards his goals is a very comfortable feeling. The coaching staff Coach Pope has put together is high quality. The practice and development plan is quite impressive, so we’re excited to see how it translates to the season. Coach Pope believes Caleb is the perfect fit for Kentucky. He says it’ll be just like adding another hometown kid, you know, Catlanta!”
The 6-foot-9 wing from Atlanta (GA) Holy Innocents Episcopal School and Nightrydas Elite will visit UCF (Sept. 27-28) followed by Alabama (Oct. 4-5).
He also recently visited Georgia Tech and USC unofficially.
Wilson now lists a top 12 of Arkansas, Duke, North Carolina, Alabama, UCF, Georgia Tech, Auburn, Tennessee, Kentucky, Oregon, Ohio State and USC.
He broke down several of his top options for ZAGSBLOG here.
