Another solid pickup in the transfer portal for the Cats!
The Kentucky Wildcats are back on the board within the transfer portal.
On Wednesday, former Clemson Tigers wide receiver Troy Stellato signed with the Wildcats, according to On3’s Pete Nakos.
Stellato has two years of eligibility remaining.
A former 4-star recruit in the class of 2021, Stellato has battled injuries throughout his career. The Cardinal Gibbons (FL) product redshirted in 2021 before suffering a torn ACL that sidelined him for the 2022 season. In 2023, he caught 38 passes for 321 yards and a touchdown.
This past season, the 6-foot-1, 190-pounder made 25 catches for 264 yards and a touchdown across nine games (five starts), earning a respectable 65.1 offensive grade from Pro Football Focus. He missed five games due to a thumb injury, including the ACC Championship and College Football Playoff.
Stellato logged 301 snaps in the slot and 12 snaps out wide in 2024. But in 2023, he logged 544 snaps out wide and 34 in the slot, so he’ll bring some much-needed versatility to Kentucky’s wide receiver room.
