Chandler has made his presence felt defensively this season. Wednesday night, we saw him make his presence felt on the offensive end.
How good was Collin Chandler on Wednesday night in the Kentucky Wildcats’ 82-61 win over Vanderbilt?
Good enough to get Jon Rothstein to say to “Buy Stock Now” in Chandler.

When Rothstein tweets that, that’s saying Chandler has really made his presence felt. Chandler entered Tuesday night with 22 points, 10 assists, and 11 steals this season.
On Wednesday night, Chandler had seven points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals. That’s a great all-around performance for the Freshman from Farmington, Utah.
Chandler played 15 minutes on Wednesday night. Given Kentucky’s injuries, the fact that Chandler can play 15 minutes and make an impact on both ends of the floor is crucial to helping Kentucky still be able to play nine players in a game.
Sometimes, Kentucky’s best offense is their defense. In the highlight above, Chandler missed a three-pointer as the shot clock expired. But he got a steal on the initial defensive possession, which he took himself to the rim to stretch Kentucky’s lead to six at the time.
Chandler, Travis Perry, and Trent Noah are being relied upon to contribute a lot more than what was expected of them this season. Give all three of them credit for what they have done this season, especially recently. That not only bodes well for the rest of this season but also for next season.
Chandler broke out offensively on Wednesday night. As a result, this Kentucky team can still go nine deep. That will be integral to Saturday night’s road game vs. the No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide.
