The transfer portal madness continues.
Update: Looks like Dailyn Swain will not be visiting Kentucky after all.
Instead, Swain has committed to the Texas Longhorns, opting to follow Sean Miller to Austin.

Scratch this one off the board.
The wheels of the transfer portal continue to turn, as transfers from Maryland and Xavier become names to keep an eye on for the Kentucky Wildcats.
Kentucky reportedly has made contact with Maryland Terrapins transfer Rodney Rice, according to Sam Kayser of 24/7 High School Hoops. It seems the Maryland guard is in the early stages with a host of schools reaching out, as he’s listed 23 schools who’ve contacted him. Those include UConn, Ole Miss, Louisville, Indiana, Tennessee, Kansas, Ohio State, Gonzaga, and Michigan.
Rice was the third-leading scorer for the Terps this past season, averaging just under 14 points per game to go along with two rebounds and two assists per game while shooting 43.4% from the floor and 37.4% from 3-point land.
There’s not been a lot of talk about Kentucky’s involvement with Rice, so this could be just a casual contact to gauge interest and NIL expectations, but nonetheless, it could be a name to keep an eye on.
Another name to keep an eye on is Xavier forward Dailyn Swain. The 6-foot-8 forward just finished his sophomore year at Xavier where he averaged 11 points per game along with 5.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists.
Swain reportedly will visit Kentucky, per On3’s Joe Tipton.
Swain had a big game against Illinois in the tournament with 27 points, eight rebounds, and three steals. However, he’s not much of an outside shooting threat. He only attempted 28 3-pointers this season, making 7.
However, it should be noted that Swain finished the season as an 82% free-throw shooter this past season on 120 attempts, so the possibility exists his perimeter shooting could improve.
Swain is reportedly also considering following Sean Miller to Texas and is also looking at Arkansas.
A date for Swain’s visit to Kentucky has not yet been confirmed, according to Tipton.
Kentucky continues to cast a wide net in the transfer portal, so add these two to the list of names to monitor.
