Fox is now the Kings’ single-game scoring champion.
The NBA is full of Kentucky Wildcats talent. It feels like every time you turn on an NBA game, a star player who’s a former Wildcat is leading the way.
Friday night was another example of just that, as De’Aaron Fox shined for the Sacramento Kings against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Fox finished the night with a new franchise record, dropping 60, yes, SIXTY points in the Kings’ loss.
Fox dropped his 60th point over NBA star Anthony Edwards from downtown Sacramento.
Fox finished the night shooting 22/35 from the field, 6/10 from 3-point land, and 10/11 from the charity stripe.
After the game Fox was asked about his performance and had quite the response, saying “I mean I knew I was nice already so…”
Fox did credit his teammates and another former Kentucky star Malik Monk.
“Just knowing the type of teammates I have, like Malik, I think I had 48 in the 4th quarter…Malik’s like you might as well go get 60.”
It is always fun to see former Cats balling out at the professional level.
