The Cats will be down numerous key players.
The Kentucky Wildcats will get to face the Auburn Tigers Saturday in hopes of returning to their winning ways after being slaughtered in The Swamp to the Florida Gators, who blasted the Mark Stoops-led side by 28.
However, those hopes are currently low with how this Cats offense is producing. They are one of the worst units in the conference, and potentially missing several running backs isn’t going to help their cause.
The Cats released their first injury report of the week for their matchup with Auburn. While the Tigers had just five on the report, the Cats had 16. Those 16 include star defensive back Maxwell Hairston.
Chip Trayanum is doubtful, so he’s expected to have a 25% or less chance to play, and Demie Sumo-Karngbaye is listed as questionable, giving him a 50% chance. Six of the seven players listed as out are on the defensive side of the ball.
That said, the full availability report can be seen here. Two more reports should follow that have greater accuracy for who we will see on the field Saturday.
