Boogie Fland has asked for his release from his National Letter of Intent to Kentucky, his coach told ZAGSBLOG Monday morning.
The five-star point guard from Archbishop Stepinac (N.Y.) and the PSA Cardinals chose the Wildcats over Alabama and Indiana in October.
He is ranked No. 18 in the Class of 2024 by ESPN and competed Saturday night in the Nike Hoop Summit in Portland.
Fland becomes the latest Kentucky recruit to ask for his release after John Calipari left for Arkansas, and Kentucky hired Mark Pope.
Fland is still in the process of planning his future moves. He could opt to follow Calipari to Arkansas or completely re-open his recruitment.
Jayden Quaintance, Karter Knox and Somto Cyril all previously asked for their releases, and Quaintance will take an official visit to Louisville under new coach Pat Kelsey.
Camden guard Billy Richmond has yet to announce his plans.
