With John Calipari taking his talents from Kentucky to Arkansas, it’s widely believed that a number of players that he has been recruiting will follow him to Fayetteville. Among the most notable is a five-star who recently decommitted from the Wildcats.
According to Fox Sports college hoops insider Aaron Torres, five-star 2024 forward Karter Knox recently made some notable changes to his Instagram profile. Namely, adding the term “chicken man” and a chicken emoji to his page.
The Tyson Chicken brand family is one of the University of Arkansas’ biggest boosters, and the program has been embracing that fact since Calipari was first named a frontrunner for the job.
“McDonald’s All-American Karter Knox, who was at one point committed to Kentucky, now has the term “chicken man” and a chicken emoji in his Instagram bio. A day after John Tyson lured John Calipari to Arkansas. Sure that’s a total coincidence,” Torres wrote.
247Sports rates Knox as a five-star recruit and the No. 19 prospect in the Class of 2024. He is the No. 6 forward in the nation and the No. 2 player from the state of Georgia.
Knox is also the brother of former first-round draft pick Kevin Knox II, who earned Freshman of the Year and First-Team All-SEC honors at Kentucky in 2018.
Suffice it to say, there’s a lot to like about Knox. He would represent a massive boost to Arkansas’ fortunes next year if he decides to join the Razorbacks.
Will Karter Knox be joining Arkansas?
