Former Kentucky pitcher Travis Smith is staying in the Southeastern Conference.
Smith, a right-hander, announced Saturday that he is transferring to Mississippi State. During his UK career, Smith appeared in 26 games (19 starts). He had a 5.44 ERA in 86 innings with 76 strikeouts and 48 walks.
He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
