Acaden Lewis decommitted from Kentucky earlier this month.
Former Kentucky Wildcats commit Acaden Lewis, a 4-star recruit from Washington, D.C., is currently visiting the Georgia Bulldogs.
This is according to CBS Sports college basketball insider Jon Rothstein.
Lewis, who was signed with the Wildcats for this upcoming season, originally committed on November 2nd after taking his official visit on October 11th. He ultimately decommitted from Kentucky on April 10th and has been searching for a new home ever since.
The No. 1 D.C.-area prospect, Lewis has already been offered by dozens of schools, including Duke, UConn, North Carolina, and Kansas. According to 247 Sports, he’s the No. 5-ranked point guard and the 30th-ranked recruit in the country overall.
Georgia already has three players with their NLIs signed, but two of them are frontcourt players. The other commit is a small forward (4-star Jacob Wilkins).
In addition, the Bulldogs have signed three players from the transfer portal, including a small forward (Kanon Catchings from BYU), a shooting guard (Justin Bailey from Wofford), and a combo guard (Jeremiah Wilkinson from California). Catchings is the nephew of Pro Basketball Hall of Famer Tamika Catchings.
Georgia could still be looking for point guard depth, and Lewis would provide the Bulldogs with just that. He’s also drawn recent interest from St. John’s, Villanova, and Georgetown.
After playing them on the road this past season, the Wildcats will likely at least host the Bulldogs at Rupp Arena this season. That means Lewis would play a game at Rupp Arena next year.
