Nice road win for the Wildcats.
Kentucky women’s basketball picked up their second consecutive win after defeating the Missouri Tigers, 73-65.
To no surprise, Kentucky was led by Clara Strack (22 points & 12 rebounds) and Georgia Amoore (19 points & five assists) in the win. They were joined by Teonni Key (13) and Dazia Lawrence (12) in double-figure scoring.
Amoore played the entire game while Strack checked out for less than a minute. Amelia Hassett played 36 minutes, Lawrence played 33, and Key played 29.
It was an all-out effort by head coach Kenny Brooks and his team to hold off the Tigers.
The Wildcats suddenly dropped two games in a row last week — falling at Ole Miss and against Texas — but have rebounded well against Georgia and now at Missouri to firm up their grip on their season.
Only three games remain for Kentucky with their next matchup being at home against LSU. They’ll then face Tennessee at home before traveling to South Carolina to wrap up the regular season.
Tip-off for Sunday’s game against LSU is scheduled for 4 PM ET with coverage on ESPN.
