LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky men’s basketball signees Boogie Fland and Jayden Quaintance will showcase their skills at the 2024 McDonald’s All-America Game, to be played at the Toyota Center in Houston at 9 p.m. ET Tuesday, with the game airing on ESPN.
The University of Kentucky cannot comment on unsigned prospects. The spring signing period opens April 17.
Fland, a 6-foot-2 guard who hails from the Bronx, New York, and Quaintance, a 6-9 forward from Cleveland, Ohio, were announced as two of the 24 selections for the annual contest which showcases the top high school basketball graduates in the country each year in January. Both Wildcat signees were picked to the East squad.
Kentucky is one of five schools with multiple McDonald’s All-Americans this season joining Alabama, Duke, North Carolina and Rutgers.
UK has signed 46 McDonald’s All Americans out of high school during the John Calipari era, more than any other school in the country during that time. Multiple players from each of Calipari’s signing classes have been tabbed McDonald’s All-Americans, including six in 2013 and five in 2017. Since the game’s inception in 1977, Kentucky has signed 78 McDonald’s All Americans in all.
Along with Fland and Quaintance, Somto Cyril and Travis Perry have also inked national letters of intent to UK for next year. All four prospects are top-100 recruits in the class overall according to Rivals, 247Sports and ESPN.
In every season but one of the Calipari era, the Wildcats have signed a top-three recruiting class according to the Recruiting Services Consensus Index, which tallies the major recruiting rankings and plugs them into a formula to calculate a consensus ranking.
