Amoore has a new career-high in a huge win against Oklahoma.
Georgia Amoore delivered a career-best performance, scoring 43 points to lead the Kentucky Wildcats to a 96-85 victory over the Oklahoma Sooners.
Amoore’s 43 points tied the Kentucky school record for points in a game. The only other players to hit that mark were Jennifer O’Neill against Baylor on Dec. 6, 2013, and Rhyne Howard against Alabama on Jan. 9, 2020.
The All-American guard was unstoppable, shooting an efficient 15/22 from the field, 7/12 from beyond the arc, and 6/8 from the free-throw line. She also contributed eight assists, one rebound, and played 39 minutes in the Wildcats’ impressive offensive showing.
From the opening tip, Amoore set the tone for Kentucky, knocking down shots from all over the court and keeping Oklahoma’s defense on its heels. Her ability to create plays for teammates and score at will made her the focal point of Kentucky’s offense throughout the game.
Oklahoma attempted to respond with a strong offensive effort of its own, but Amoore’s historic night proved too much to overcome. Every time the Sooners seemed poised to make a run, Amoore answered with a clutch 3-pointer or an assist to keep Kentucky in control.
With this performance, Amoore not only set a new career high but also cemented herself as one of the most dynamic scorers in the country. Her leadership and efficiency played a key role in securing the Wildcats’ win and boosting their momentum in the season.
Kentucky will look to carry this energy into its next matchup, while Amoore’s dominant showing serves as a reminder of her ability to take over a game when it matters most.
