Kentucky adds some depth at tight end.
The Kentucky Wildcats are on the board again.
This time, it’s former Illinois Fighting Illini tight end Henry Boyer who committed to the Wildcats on Thursday.
Boyer announced the news on Twitter. He’ll be a redshirt junior for the 2025 college football season and has two seasons of eligibility remaining.

Originally a 3-star class of 2022 recruit, the Illinois native played sparingly during his three years with the Illini. The 6-foot-6, 270-pound Boyer was primarily used as a blocking tight end who’s caught just three passes (all in 2023) in his career and none this past season.
Boyer logged double-digit snaps in five of his first six games this season but was held to single digits in the final five games. He finished with a 50.3 Pro Football Focus grade.
This is merely a depth piece for the Cats, who still have Josh Kattus, Willie Rodriguez, and incoming true freshman Mikkel Skinner at tight end.
