The Cats are a well-represented bunch ahead of the 2025 NBA Draft.
The Kentucky Wildcats are a Sweet 16 team after taking down the Troy Trojans and Illinois Fighting Illini, and they are one with a bunch of high-profile talent.
The Cats reloaded their roster after the exodus of John Calipari with mostly transfer talent, and many of those players have taken their game to the next level. Players like Koby Brea have recently soared since coming to Kentucky.
While freshmen do help fill out the rotation, the transfers have largely shined when it comes to the NBA level, according to ESPN’s most recent rundown of its top-100 prospects. There were five Kentucky players listed.
Brea was the highest-rated Kentucky player, coming in at No. 53. His sharpshooting is the key reason he’s in the rankings, but his playmaking is why he’s continued to go up.
Amari Williams at No. 78, Otega Oweh at No. 86, Jaxon Robinson at No. 91, and Andrew Carr at No. 93 fill out the remainder of the Cats in Jonathan Givony’s rankings. All have the potential to make an impact at the next level, and it is mainly their age and ceiling that hold them back from being even higher.
Regardless, the Wildcats, who have a date with the Tennessee Volunteers soon for a right to claim an Elite Eight spot, will need each of them to pull off another upset this season.
