Another major upset took place at the NCAA Tournament after Kentucky lost to Oakland on Thursday night.
Kentucky’s loss busted a lot of people’s brackets as there’s now fewer than 1% of perfect brackets remaining.

Kentucky got off to a slow start and wasn’t able to do enough to overcome it. Facing a three-point deficit heading into the second half, the Wildcats weren’t able to make enough shots when they needed to.
There were multiple instances when the game appeared to be in reach but their shots didn’t fall.Â
Antonio Reeves led all Wildcats players with 27 points while Tre Mitchell, Justin Edwards, and Rob Dillingham also finished in double figures.Â
With the loss, the Wildcats have now lost four of their last five NCAA Tournament games and have lost in the first round twice in the last three years.
They’re going to need to ask some serious questions about their program heading into next season since they haven’t made an Elite Eight since the 2018-19 season. They also haven’t won a national title since the 2011-12 season.Â
As for the Oakland Grizzlies, they’ll take on the winner of the North Carolina State-Texas Tech game.
