Kentucky lands a big in-state Yahtzee!
The Kentucky Wildcats continue to add players to their class of 2025, the latest being from one of the top players in the state.
On Wednesday, Kentucky added Boyle County native Montavin Quisenberry to this year’s recruiting class.
Quisenberry is a 3-star wide receiver who flipped his commitment from West Virginia to Kentucky.
After careful consideration and talks with my family, I have decided to decommit from West Virginia University. The decision was not made lightly as I have tremendous respect for the WVU coaching staff and team.
With that being said I am committing to KENTUCKY! Go Cats pic.twitter.com/Obszz3x1ha— Montavin Quisenberry (@MontavinQuisen1) October 16, 2024
Quisenberry visited Kentucky last weekend for the Vanderbilt game as Vince Marrow and others continued to recruit the in-state talent, despite his pledge to the Mountaineers. Now, the Boyle County standout has decided he wanted to stay home and wear the blue and white.
The 5-foot-9, 175-pound wide receiver has shown great production for Boyle County with helping to pull off a huge upset earlier this year against St. Edwards (OH). Quisenberry helped the team with three rushing touchdowns and 265 yards from scrimmage, had a 69-yard touchdown pass, and even grabbed an interception in the 38-21 upset.
The Boyle County Rebels have now won four straight Class 4A State Titles, and with the help of Quisenberry, they have a real shot at making it five straight.
With the addition of Quisenberry, it marks the fourth wide receiver in this year’s class and the third player from the state of Kentucky. It’s also the Cats’ 20th commitment for next year.
