The Cats and the Horns will both have key players out for this one.
The Kentucky Wildcats and Texas Longhorns have released their SEC injury reports.
For Kentucky, all eyes have been on Lamont Butler and Jaxson Robinson, who’ve been in and out of the lineup recently and were expected to miss Saturday’s game in Austin.
To no surprise, both are listed as out for this one.
Backup point guard Kerr Kriisa remains listed as out, as it’s getting harder to see him returning this season from his foot surgery.
For Texas, the big question mark was standout forward Arthur Kaluma, who is working through a knee injury, something he’s been dealing with for several weeks. He missed the Horns’ 70-69 win against Texas A&M before returning for the team’s next four games, then exited Tuesday’s loss to Alabama in the first half and never returned.
Kaluma is listed as doubtful vs. the Cats. He’s averaging 12.9 points and 7.9 rebounds per game for the Horns.
Backup guard Chendall Weaver has been out since early January due to a hip injury. Weaver is out for this game. He’s averaging 6.7 points and 5.1 boards per game.
Backup forward Devon Pryor missed Tuesday’s loss to Bama with a calf injury. Pryor is listed as probable against Kentucky. He’s averaging 4.1 points and 2.1 rebounds per game.
