It never ends.
It appears the Kentucky Wildcats won’t have Jaxson Robinson when they host the Tennessee Volunteers on Tuesday.
Robinson, who suffered a wrist injury in practice leading up to the South Carolina game, was able to start and finish the win over the Gamecocks, but he appeared to injure the wrist further during a second-half collision.
After being in visible pain on the bench, he was able to return eventually, but it sounds like he hurt it enough that Kentucky could hold him out vs. Tennessee.
During his Monday call-in show, Pope said Robinson was a longshot to play Tuesday.
“Looks like we’re not going to have Jaxson Robinson,” said Pope. “But we’ll kind of see how things pan out tomorrow (at) game time.”
Pope added that it’s looking good for Butler to play Tuesday. He returned from a three-game absence in the win over South Carolina and didn’t suffer any setbacks.
“I’m hopeful that we’ll see Lamont again tomorrow,” said Pope.
If Robinson is out, look for Koby Brea to start in his place, while Trent Noah, Collin Chandler, and Travis Perry could see more minutes off the bench.
Looks like Kentucky fans are left with another week at least of wondering when/if they’ll ever see this team healthy again.
