Jaxson Robinson got shots up, signed autographs for fans, and spoke with Mark Pope after the game.
Jaxson Robinson entered Saturday’s matchup against Florida just 10 points shy of reaching a significant milestone in his college career.
By the time the game ended, Robinson had 14 points, surpassing the 1,000-point mark and putting his name into the record books. His performance helped push the Kentucky Wildcats to a thrilling 106-100 victory over the previously unbeaten Florida Gators in front of a roaring crowd at Rupp Arena.
Despite reaching a major career milestone, Robinson wasn’t ready to call it a night.
After the game, with Rupp Arena nearly empty, Robinson returned to the court and focused on improving his craft, putting in extra work alongside graduate assistant Austin Pope.

While the fifth-year senior guard worked on his shooting, he also took some time after the game to sign autographs for kids who stayed late, creating a memorable moment for everyone involved.
Robinson wrapped up the game with 14 points, two assists, and one rebound, shooting 5/12 from the field, including 2/6 from 3-point range, during his 30 minutes on the court.
This season, Robinson has struggled with consistency, shooting just 40.7% from the field and 30% from deep across 14 games. During his postgame shootaround, head coach Mark Pope approached Robinson for a heartfelt conversation.
The exchange ended with Pope offering Robinson a hug, a touching moment that highlights the bond that they have had since their BYU days.

Robinson played well overall against Florida, but it’s still great to see him putting in extra work after the game. Most importantly, he took the time to connect with others by signing autographs for the kids and sharing a meaningful moment with Coach Pope.
It’s a testament to how much Pope genuinely cares for his players and how they reciprocate the love.
