It’s clear that Kentucky has all the NIL money it needs (and probably more).
The Wildcats have loaded up in the transfer portal this season. The roster that Mark Pope has put together for the 2025-26 season should be a preseason top 5 team.
Jeff Goodman of The Field of 68 commented on Kentucky’s NIL money today.
“I’m not sure anyone is gonna touch Kentucky’s NIL payroll this season…not even BYU,” Goodman said on X.

Most analysts seem to agree that Kentucky has shelled out more than $10 million with some saying it could be as high as $20 million.
Goodman believes it’s definitely $12 million or more:
“Kentucky’s got a lot more money right now than Florida. They might be No. 1 honestly, at upwards of $12 million in NIL payroll” – @GoodmanHoops
