Kentucky is in danger of being upset in the early portion of the NCAA Tournament again.
Kentucky, who is a No. 3 seed, is down 38-35 to Oakland at halftime, which is a No. 14 seed.
John Calipari’s squad had a slow start in the first half and it has fans calling Calipari out with the second half about to get underway.
“It’s not an exaggeration to say that the second half could be the most pivotal half of John Calipari’s tenure at Kentucky,” one tweet read.
“Biggest half of the Calipari era upcoming,” another tweet read.
“One thing about John Calipari teams don’t do anymore is they don’t make teams uncomfortable,” another fan tweeted.
“Soooooo Kentucky is down at half to 14-seed Oakland. As critical of a 20 minutes in the John Calipari Era lies ahead. Wildcats really cannot lose this game,” another tweet read.
Kentucky has to find a way to win this game since the program has had some poor results over the past few NCAA Tournaments.
The Wildcats have lost before the Sweet 16 in each of the last two years and haven’t made an Elite Eight since the 2018-19 season.
You can watch the second half of this game on CBS.
