The retirement may already be funded but John Calipari is always on the hunt for a good deal.
Taking to Instagram over the weekend, Coach Cal’s wife, Ellen, shared a story of how Calipari lunged over a stack of clothing at Costco to get the promotion he was looking for.
Captioning the photo: “When you find something you love….and it’s an irresistible bargain! I don’t think he’s Christmas shopping,” with a laughing emoji. “Earthly said he was digging for gold! I will say that he absolutely feels that way!! Have a lovely Sunday!”
Fans got a kick out of it in the comments section.
“How do you celebrate a top 10 win? 14.99 track pants,” a user said.
“you or Cal shared a story about a broken toaster that you kept for far too long. Is that right? Is it still serving the family?” a fan asked.

The 8-2 Wildcats took down No. 9 UNC on Saturday to nab one of their first signature wins of the year.
