Several recruiting analysts believe Kentucky is the favorite for both recruits.
Update: There’s even more positive buzz for the Cats coming in.
On3 reporter Jamie Shaw just made his predictions for the top remaining class of 2025 recruits. Shaw picked Kentucky to win out for Caleb Wilson, though only with a 25% confidence level. North Carolina was labeled as the biggest threat to Kentucky for the 5-star forward.
Shaw also picked Kentucky to land Acaden Lewis with a confidence level of 60%.
Finally, Shaw picked LSU to land Chris Cenac, but only with a 20% confidence level while tabbing Kentucky as the biggest threat to the Tigers.
Gotta like these vibes.
There is nothing like a late-night recruiting update.
Mark Pope and his staff have the Kentucky Wildcats in a great position with several of the top players in the class of 2025. With two commitments already in the fold, the Cats are now looking to round out the class with a couple of top-30 recruits. Maybe even a top-10 recruit.
Over the last month or so two players have started to separate themselves as serious options to join the class in 5-star forward Caleb Wilson and 4-star guard Acaden Lewis.
Things seem to be trending in the right direction for Lewis, and, according to Joe Tipton, the Cats might be the favorites for Wilson.
“I would probably say Kentucky for both of them.”
In addition, Kentucky picked up a big recruiting prediction for Lewis on Thursday from Duke reporter Adam Rowe.
Why is that important? It’s because Duke is seen as one of, if not the top threat to Kentucky for Lewis. So for a Duke insider to pick Kentucky speaks volumes about the position that the Cats are in for the talented guard.
Some good news for the Cat this evening. Let’s see if Pope and his staff can wrap them both up.
Who is the favorite for Caleb Wilson and Acaden Lewis? @TiptonEdits says the “most likely” scenario is Kentucky closes out its 2025 class with Wilson and Lewis.
