Jason Hart watched some big-time stars for the class of 2026.
With the City of Palms tournament just beginning, many top-tier high school teams are set to compete, showcasing numerous highly ranked recruits. Coaches from various schools will be in attendance to evaluate these promising prospects.
Kentucky Wildcats assistant coach Jason Hart attended the event on Wednesday night to evaluate two top-25 prospects from the class of 2026: 5-star shooting guard Caleb Holt and 4-star small forward Alex Constanza.
According to Joe Tipton of On3, Hart observed the 6-foot-5, 200-pound shooting guard Holt from Loganville, Georgia, in action. Holt showcased an impressive performance, recording 20 points, four rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
This performance is a testament to why Holt is ranked No. 4 overall in the class of 2026, according to 247 Sports. His exceptional play on the court continues to solidify his reputation as one of the top prospects in his class.
Kentucky extended an offer to Holt back in July, and since then, the Wildcats have visited him twice, both times in September, according to 247 Sports. Holt continues to demonstrate his exceptional talent, which has garnered offers from multiple top programs, including Duke, Alabama, Auburn, North Carolina, Kansas, UConn, and others.
Hart also watched 6-foot-8, 205-pound small forward Constanza from Miami, Florida, according to his father, who spoke with A Sea of Blue. Constanza continues to impress on the court, showcasing why he is considered a top-25 talent.
Currently ranked No. 21 nationally, according to 247 Sports, Constanza is also a candidate to reclassify to the class of 2025, though no decision has been made at this time.
Although Kentucky has not extended an offer to Constanza, the program has maintained consistent contact with him since Mark Pope took over as head coach. It will be interesting to see if Kentucky becomes more involved, especially given that Constanza has already received offers from programs such as Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Louisville, Ole Miss, and others.
Of course, the staff will be evaluating other talent throughout the week, but most notably, Great Crossing will be competing in this tournament. Great Crossing features class of 2025 center and Kentucky signee Malachi Moreno. With Moreno participating, the staff will undoubtedly take the opportunity to check in on one of their future players.
Moreno recorded 10 points on 4-of-10 shooting, along with six rebounds, three blocks, and one assist on Thursday night as Great Crossing faced Columbus in the tournament. Although the game ended in a lopsided 90-39 loss for Great Crossing, Moreno managed to showcase some bright moments despite the one-sided scoreboard.
