I know the BBN would love this.
The Kentucky Wildcats are only a few weeks away from tipping off the 2024-25 season, as the fanbase and the country will get to see a new-look program under Mark Pope.
Despite the changes, Coach Pope has made one thing very clear… this program is chasing banners. This is obviously music to the BBN’s ears, but according to one ranking, the Cats might have a chance to hang one sooner rather than later.
Andy Katz released a list of the top-10 teams that are dark horses to make the Final Four. Kentucky made the list at No. 3 overall.
Now, the fanbase might not like the two in front of them, however, as he ranked Indiana at No. 1 and Arkansas at No. 2. Also making the list are Rutgers, Creighton, Arizona, Illinois, Ohio State, Florida, and Cincinnati.

There are obviously still a ton of question marks surrounding this Kentucky team. Will they be that great defensively? Will the pieces offensively actually start to pair together? Do we have that go-to scorer?
Those are all fair questions that will be answered over the next few months heading into conference play, but this ranking points to one thing that is already true. With the style of play and the talented players in this system, they could beat anyone in the country.
