Kentucky is showing interest in the class of 2026 point guard.
The Kentucky Wildcats are making strides in their recruitment of Class of 2026 point guard Deron Rippey Jr., one of the most highly sought-after prospects in the country.
Deron Rippey Sr., the father of the young standout, has told us that Kentucky has been actively in contact with his son. Assistant coach Jason Hart has reportedly been leading the charge, staying closely involved in Rippey Jr.’s recruitment.
Rippey Jr. is a 6-foot-2, 175-pound point guard from Blairstown, New Jersey. Known for his scoring ability and athleticism, he has drawn interest from several elite programs. Among his many scholarship offers are the Kansas Jayhawks, Louisville Cardinals, Michigan Wolverines, LSU Tigers, Purdue Boilermakers, Illinois Fighting Illini, and Texas A&M Aggies.
His connection with Kentucky appears to be growing stronger, with him expected to attend the Wildcats’ highly anticipated game against Ohio State this Saturday in New York City at Madison Square Garden.
The matchup, part of the CBS Sports Classic, will provide Rippey Jr. with a firsthand look at the program’s culture and competitiveness on a national stage.
As of now, Rippey Jr. is ranked 22nd overall by Rivals and On3, 28th by ESPN, and 19th by 247 Sports. All four services classify him as a point guard.
Landing Rippey Jr. would be a significant win for Kentucky’s future recruiting class, as the young star has the potential to make an immediate impact at the college level. With Hart leading his recruitment, Kentucky fans have reason to be optimistic.
