Kentucky continues to show strong interest in the 5-star power forward.
The Kentucky Wildcats and Mark Pope are continuing to inch closer to a great recruiting class for 2025, with Pope already signing two 5-stars in combo guard Jasper Johnson and center Malachi Moreno.
The latest update is with 5-star power forward Chris Cenac, a 6-foot-10 senior out of Link Academy (MO). He is down to seven schools, with Kentucky making the cut.
The other six schools include Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Houston, Kentucky, LSU, and Tennessee, according to Joe Tipton of On3. Cenac has completed official visits to Houston, Auburn, Tennessee, and Kentucky.
Cenac, ranked as high as fifth overall via On3 in the 2025 class, also said he could make a college decision by the end of November, but that could change depending on his recruitment.
As for what Cenac is looking for in his next school:
“I’m looking for a school that will develop me the most and help me get to the next level,” he told Shaw. “I’ll want to have a great relationship with the coaches, trust there. And I’ll want to be looking for an NBA-type system, spreading the floor, playing four or five out. I’m open to any school around the country really, location won’t matter.”
While Houston and LSU have been largely viewed as the top contenders, Kentucky appears to be making real progress in this recruitment following his recent official visit to Lexington.
