According to Matt Norlander (who seems like the “inside” guy with the UK coaching staff), Kentucky is finishing up a deal to host Western Kentucky at Rupp Arena next season.
Kentucky has played the Hilltoppers seven times over the years with the last matchup being in 2021 (a 95-60 win for the Wildcats). UK leads the all-time series 5-2.
Norlander says the WKU game will be part of a three-game MTE. All three games at Rupp Arena are expected to be vs. mid-majors, with one of the others likely to be vs. an HBCU program.

News: Kentucky is finishing a deal to host Western Kentucky at Rupp Arena next season, per sources. It’s notable because the schools have only met seven times ever. Mark Pope + UK officials want to have at least one intra-Kentucky matchup for the fans in Pope’s first season.
