A top-10 prospect will be at Rupp Arena for a top-10 showdown.
The Kentucky Wildcats sit No. 10 in the latest AP Poll, and they will have a tall task facing them when they welcome the No. 6 Florida Gators to Rupp Arena on Saturday for the start of SEC competition.
One prospect will be getting an up-close view of the game, as the Cats are set to host Anthony Thompson.
Thompson told KSR’s Jacob Polacheck that he would be in attendance for Kentucky’s battle with Florida. The 5-star recruit from Lebanon, Ohio, previously visited Kentucky for Big Blue Madness in 2024.
The 6-foot-7 star forward is the top player from the state of Ohio and the third-best small forward in the class, according to 247 Sports, which also has him ranked as the ninth-best player nationally.
There’s not quite a crystal ball prediction on where he’ll go, but he does have unofficial visits to players like Michigan and Michigan State and also holds offers from other blue-blood programs like Kansas.
