Great Crossing Star Malachi Moreno put up an impressive stat sheet in the tournament.
Class of 2025 Kentucky Wildcats signee Malachi Moreno put on a show in a win over Bishop McNamara, delivering an impressive stat line at the prestigious City of Palms Classic.
The 6-foot-11 standout was unstoppable on both ends of the floor, finishing with an incredible stat line: 39 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocks while shooting a flawless 15/15 from the field.
Moreno demonstrated why he is considered one of the top young talents in high school basketball. Known for his versatility, rim protection, and scoring efficiency, he left no doubt about his ability to dominate on the court. His ability to score from all areas of the floor, coupled with his ability to protect the rim, makes him a potential difference-maker for the Wildcats. His continued development has garnered widespread attention, and with him being a Kentucky native, Wildcats fans are eagerly anticipating his arrival in Lexington.
Moreno has consistently showcased his basketball IQ, leadership, and work ethic, all of which make him a highly sought-after prospect. His blend of size, athleticism, and skill makes him a perfect fit for Mark Pope’s system.
With it still being early in Moreno’s senior season, he will have plenty of time to make improvements to his game before stepping onto campus next year as a freshman center for Kentucky. Fans are already excited to see how his development will unfold as he continues to improve his game.
